MEMBERSHIP

A sole proprietorship firm or any other company or a concern shall be eligible for the membership of the Association provided that the firm or company is carrying on the full fledged agency business of advertising in Pakistan on ethical lines not being entirely or partially owned by any advertiser or publication and media owner shall be eligible for membership of the Association.

A sole proprietorship firm or any other company or a concern carrying on following types of business shall be eligible for Associate membership.

1. Publicity film Producers
2. Neon Sign Advertising Agents
3. Agents for Hoarding, Sign Board etc
4. Cinema Slide Publicity Agents
5. Any other type of business connected or associated with Advertising Agency as may be approved by the Central Executive Committee.

The subscribers to the memorandum of Association and persons whose names are entered in the Register of Members, and firm, company or concern admitted to membership in accordance with these Articles shall be members of the Association.

Every candidate for membership shall be proposed by one and seconded by another member of the Association in writing. Every application for membership shall contain facts and evidence showing that the candidate is duly appointed advertising agent of at least 5 advertisers and is otherwise fully equipped to run the trade as advertising agent in an efficient and satisfactory manner. An undertaking by the candidate to carry out all the obligations of a member of the Association shall be signed by the candidate.

Any firm, company or concern qualified to be and desirous of becoming an Associate member shall submit application in the manner prescribed and provided in regulation No. 4 except that the application may be duly proposed and seconded by Associate members.

The Executive Committee shall, in its absolute discretion, decide whether any candidate shall be accepted as a member of the Association and shall not be required to give any reason for refusing to accept any candidate. No candidate will be accepted unless the decision of the Executive Committee is unanimous in this respect.
